When does it take place?

Evergreen Games is organised annually in May. May is Brain Cancer Awareness month, so we feel it's an apt time.

Is there an entry fee?

Yes, it's $10 for adult entry and free for anyone under 15.

What does entry fee gets me?

Apart from support to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, your entry fee also gives you access to the amazing gaming library we have at the venue and a draw in the door prize.

I don't know any board games, can I still come and support the cause?

Absolutely. Evergreen Games is open to all and requires no boardgaming experience. We will have volunteers and other boardgamers who are always happy to teach newcomers.

What type of games will be played?

Board games, board games and more board games. You will see a large variety of modern board games including Family, Strategy, Card, Dexterity and Party games.
Bring your own games or pick something from the Games Library.

Can I bring children along?

Yes. This is a kid friendly event. (Kids to be supervised by their parents/guardians).

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

The Clyde is a pub who has generously donated their premises to us. It wouldn't be fair to them to bring outside food or drinks unless it's a medical requirement.
They cater to most dietary requirements

What time does the raffle takes place?

Raffle takes place usually around 5pm and can go on til 6pm.

I can't stay for the raffle. Can my prizes be posted to me?

You must be present to claim your prize; alternatively, you can give your ticket to a friend to claim on your behalf.

How can I help?

Just turn up, play some games, and buy raffle tickets. If you are familiar with games, why not teach them to those new to the hobby?
If you are a game pubisher/designer/retailer, we welcome prizes for our raffle. Please get in touch.

Can I donate games or other gaming related items to the raffle?

Of course, all we ask is that donated secondhand games be in a condition good enough that you would be happy to receive as a prize.

How do I get to the Clyde Hotel?


The Clyde hotel is located at 385 Cardigan St, Carlton, VIC.
By Car: There's street parking available on both Elgin and Cardigan street, but it can be limited and busy. Melbourne University has a public car park (Eastern Precinct Car Park) right next to the venue that offers $15 all day parking over the weekend.
By Bus: The Clyde Hotel is easily accessible by two different bus lines – 200 & 207
By Tram: The Clyde Hotel is right next to the Tram stop Lygon St/Elgin St #112. It's also walkable from Melbourne University Tram stop.

Is the venue accessible?

Accessible parking is available on Cardigan Street, right in front of the Clyde Hotel. There are no stairs to enter the venue. Accessible toilets are also available.
From sensory persepective, it can get loud esp in the Beer garden.
